After the weekend, me and my colleague had to hand in a report for one of our courses. The professor wasn't in her office so we just left the reports. But before we left we noticed a piece of paper on her desk that said: "SIMONE B. CAR ACCIDENT". We were both shocked. We had a girl with that name in our goup. "It's not our Simone, is it?" my colleague asked me. There are hundreds of students at our college so there was a possibility that there was another girl by that name and we chose to believe in that possibility.
In the evening i got a call from the same colleague that handed in the report with me "Its true", she said "Simone died!"
It turned out that Simone, age 20, and her future father-in-law had a horrible car accident on sunday. He died in the car, Simone was taken to the hospital and died a few hours after the crash. By tuesday the entire group had heard the horrible news. The shock and depression was so strong that you could physically feel the pain and sadness of every single person in the room. She was a very great person and i pity that i didn't know her that well but I still can't believe that i will never see her again. I tried to remember the last time i had seen her or talked to her. It was thursday after our last class and the last thing i said to her was "goodbye"
